Snow Shoveling Fool - Jack that is.

Jack is the only one who gets excited about shoveling snow! He goes crazy when Craig asks him if he wants to go shovel snow. He waits to put on his coat and barks like crazy if Craig is too slow getting his hat and gloves on. If you don't shovel fast enough - he barks some more! I am sure the neighbors don't find it as cute as we do.

Craig has had enough already and is talking of re-visiting warmer and sunny California.

It's Almost Christmas

Jack is the only one who is ready for Christmas. I know it comes the same day of every year and every year I say I am going to be "ahead of the game" I guess I am not in the right ball park or playing the right game because I am sure not ahead!
Hope this finds you all happy, healthy and excited about Christmas and all the good things the New Year will bring.
We miss you all very much and wish you all a Merry Merry Christmas!

Visit to Old Town San Diego

We spent an afternoon at Old Town and these children put on a wonderful little dance performance. They are too cute in the grown up costumes. We enjoyed the day as well as the mexican dinner there that evening.

A Day of Fun at SeaWorld

We spent a wonderful day at SeaWorld. Lynne and I love the sea lions! The day was nice- no sun but a good temperature and the shows were wonderul as ususal. Craig and I love it there and I guess that would be why we have an annual pass.

Touring Old Ships at San Diego Bay

We spent an afternoon touring the 4 ships and a Russian Submarine that are here as a floating museum on the bay. Steve really enjoyed the submarine - it is the type he spied upon! It was fun going through the sub and having Steve be the tour guide; reading the russian signs to us, explaining the different tasks of the sailors on the sub and comparing it to the US subs and sailors. We toured the Star of India and the Surprise. The Star of India is 144 years old and the Surprise is a reproduction and was used for the filming of the movie Master and Commander. It was a great afternoon!

Drew's Halloween Costume

Amber picked this outfit up last weekend for Drew's Halloween costume. I went to see my girls and Drew last weekend. Craig had to fly home to do his real estate class continuing ed. classes - it snowed on him! He was happy to come back to San Diego!! I bought Drew a tee shirt that has 3 pictures with monkeys on them - each picture has a saying above it. Monkey see-Monkey do- Monkey get in trouble too!!!!!

Jack's Likes Italian Too!

Jack had a little taste of what we had for dinner - Great pasta dinner by chef Lynne!

Lynne and Steve's Visit

We went to Sea Port Village today for Chowder, Fish and Chips. Had to do a little shopping too - this is Steve's idea of shopping! We bought the hat and glasses for Lynne's sports car apparel and I guess we should have gotten Steve his own pair of fun glasses too. Lynne is quite cute in her new shades and hat!!

Night Time Feathered Patrol

The dock lights line the runway for the blue heron as he glides in for a silent landing. He patrols the docks every night or so it seems as I have never seen him fish off of the docks. He is the silent feathered sentry of the night.

Happy Captain

That is the look Craig has pretty much every day all day - I'm thinking the captain is very happy to be here.

Drew's Birthday Party

Happy 1st Birthday Drew!

Drew was one on August 30th! Amber and Dayn held his birthday party on September 1st. We had a lot of guests and of course presents. He was more interested in the cards. The cake was too cute as you can see. Amber did a great job on the cake and decorations. In case you hadn't guessed the theme - Pirates Arrrrrrrr. Even Jack got to be part of the festivities!

Samantha's Visit

Samantha came for a weekend visit. We went to Cabrillo National Mounument where I took this "cheesecake" shot of her. We took Jack swimming in the ocean, visited the GasLamp area and we went over to Coronado Island. She is doing well with her new job and is planning on staying for a while. Apartment hunting soon. It is nice that the girls can come over on Friday nights and still have the majority of the weekend with us. Beats the 17 hour one way drive!! As you can tell it was another wonderful sunny day in San Diego - low to mid 70's every day. Can't hate that!

Do You Want To Play

What else but playing flippy. Jack loves his twice a day walks with Craig. They go across the street and play doggy frisbee in the park and of course Jack has an audience every time they go to play. Lots of people know Jack by name now - not ours but the dog's! Craig is definately Jack's favorite playmate - I have to admit Craig is mine too!!

Beach Day with the Kids

Gotta get the sand out of those sensitive spots!

Amber, Dayn and Andrew (Drew) came to visit us for a long weekend. We took them to SeaWorld, Doobie Brothers Concert, and of course to the beach at Coronodo. Drew's first time at the beach! Papa and I walked him to the water the first time and then it was we could do to keep him out of the ocean!! He loved it. Papa taught us all how to make dribble castles.

He did really well on the boat considering he is used to the run of a house and then he was confined to the small boat spaces. He thought it was great fun to toss his trucks off the back of the boat and watch us all scramble off to get them before they sunk. It was a great visit.
